I still see it

 I still see it—

your collar, resting quietly where I set it down.
No jingles. No movement. Just stillness.

It feels so small in my hands, compared to the life it once carried.
Every scratch, every worn mark, tells the story of love and years together.

Now, where the collar lies, silence lingers.
But so does memory.
And when I hold it, I feel you near.
Not gone. Not forgotten. Just waiting, on the other side of the Rainbow.
