  Irene Cara Escalera (March 18, 1959 – November 25, 2022) Cara sang and co-wrote the song "Flashdance... What a Feeling" (from the film Flashdance), for which she won an Academy Award for Best Original Song and a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1984. Cara is also known for playing the role of Coco Hernandez in the 1980 film Fame, and for recording the film's title song "Fame". Prior to her success with Fame, Cara portrayed the title character Sparkle Williams in the original 1976 musical drama film Sparkle. In 1984, she was in the comedic thriller City Heat, co-starring with Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds and singing the standards "Embraceable You" and "Get Happy".   Christine Anne McVie (July 12, 1943 – November 30, 2022) McVie was principally known as a member of the band Fleetwood Mac, which she joined in 1970, as a singer and the band's keyboardist She also released three solo albums. Her lyrics focused on love and relationships. Steve Leggett of AllMusic described her as an "unabashedly easy-on-the-ears singer/songwriter, and the prime mover behind some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits". Eight songs written or co-written by her, including "Don't Stop", "Everywhere" and "Little Lies", appeared on Fleetwood Mac's 1988 Greatest Hits album. Originally aspiring to be a nurse, Young's professional music career started after fellow Inkster High School classmate Gladys Horton asked her to audition for a spot left by Georgia Dobbins, an original member of the group, then called the Marvels. After a successful audition, Young joined the group and the quintet, which had auditioned for a deal with Motown earlier, returned with a song written by Dobbins titled "Please Mr. Postman". Impressed with the group's sound, they were immediately signed and had their name changed to the Marvelettes and after the song was remastered, the song was released and became Motown's first No. 1 Pop single in late 1961—it also held the top slot for seven weeks on Billboard's R&B chart. McBain (May 18, 1941 – December 21, 2022) She was best known for playing an adventurous socialite in the 1960–1962 television series Surfside 6 and as one of Elvis Presley's leading ladies in 1966's Spinout. McBain also guest-starred on four episodes of ABC’s Batman, first as a hat shop assistant who’s in cahoots with David Wayne’s Mad Hatter in 1966. She played a stamp company queen who had a thing for pink in the live adaptation of "Batman" from 1966 until 1967. The other members were her sister Barbara, and Joan Marie Johnson. While in high school in 1963, Barbara brought Rosa along to sing with her and Joan Marie in a high school talent show. The trio initially called themselves the Meltones, only to discover later that the name had already been taken. Ik wist ook niet veel over haar jeugd, haar carriĆØre in de muziekwereld – ik kende haar alleen van de serie Only Murders In the Building en wat muziek nummers. Selena is open, kwetsbaar en deelt de goede en slechte kanten van het leven, inclusief de worstelingen met mentale en fysieke problemen.   Andrew Neiman is een beloftevol en ambitieus jazzdrummer die gecoacht wordt door zijn mentor Terence Fletcher. De veeleisende Fletcher drijft zijn pupil tot het uiterste om zijn doorbraak te forceren. Fletcher wordt enkele malen erg boos op Neiman maar daar weet Neiman bovenop te komen om uiteindelijk een succesvolle solo te spelen op het grote podium. ____________ Review: Miles Teller levert een rauwe en fysieke prestatie. Je voelt bijna elke drumslag, elke spanning die op hem wordt opgebouwd. Tegenover hem is JK Simmons angstaanjagend goed en creĆ«ert hij een van de meest memorabele en verontrustende mentorfiguren in de filmgeschiedenis. Wat Whiplash zo bijzonder maakt, is hoe strak alles in elkaar zit. Er is geen tijdverspilling, geen overbodige scĆØnes.   Countrymuziek-superster Lorna Davis (Dolly Parton) is overweldigd en gedesillusioneerd door haar carriĆØre en eenzaamheid. Ze plant een reis naar een blokhut van een vriendin in de  Smoky Mountains  van  Tennessee  om aan  Los Angeles  te ontsnappen en tijdens de kerstperiode tot rust te komen. Bij aankomst ontdekt Lorna dat het de geĆÆmproviseerde thuisbasis is geworden van zeven weeskinderen die zich schuilhouden voor het weeshuis in de stad. Ze vinden haar zelfs slapend in een van de bedden (een verwijzing naar de zeven dwergen die  Sneeuwwitje  vinden ), waarop de jongste uitroept: "Ik weet wie ze is. Ze is de Engel."
