  Virgin River  is een Amerikaanse  romantische  dramaserie  , geproduceerd door Reel World Management, gefilmd in  Brits-Columbia  ,  Canada  , en gebaseerd op de  Virgin River-  romans van  Robyn Carr . - De laatste afleveringen bouwen toe naar een grotere climax. It Takes A Village lijkt een gemeenschaps-aflevering te worden, gevolgd door langere afleveringen waarin onder meer Doc's positie in de kliniek en nieuwe personages zoals rodeorijder Clay meer aandacht krijgen. Opvallend is dat aflevering 9, La Luna De Miel, met 53 minuten de langste is en zich deels in Mexico afspeelt; vermoedelijk een romantisch hoogtepunt voor Mel en Jack - ______________________ Review : Eindelijk alle 10 afleveringen van seizoen 7 bekeken en ik kan alleen maar zeggen: WOW!! Julie Adams, born Betty May Adams (October 17, 1926 – February 3, 2019) Adams was an actress, primarily in television. She starred in a number of films in the 1950s, including Bend of the River and Creature from the Black Lagoon. She was also known for her roles as Paula Denning on Capitol and as Eve Simpson on Murder, She Wrote. In 1946, at the age of 19, she was crowned "Miss Little Rock" and then moved to Hollywood, California to pursue her acting career. Her first movie role was a minor part in Red, Hot and Blue (1949), followed by a leading role in the Lippert western The Dalton Gang (1949). Adams was featured as the bathing beauty Kay Lawrence in the science-fiction film Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954).   Beverley Owen (May 13, 1937 – February 21, 2019) She was a television actress, best known for having played the original role of Marilyn Munster on the sitcom The Munsters before the role was taken over by Pat Priest. In 1956, Owen appeared in her first TV role in As the World Turns. Owen appeared on the shows The Doctors, Kraft Mystery Theatre, The Virginian, Wagon Train, and Another World, and in the feature film Bullet for a Badman, starring Audie Murphy, after which she got the role of Marilyn Munster on The Munsters. Owen left The Munsters after 13 episodes to marry Sesame Street writer and producer Jon Stone. They were married for eight years, and had two children. After her divorce in 1974 she continued to pursue her studies in early American history and earned a master's degree in 1989. Nathaniel Taylor

  Nathaniel Taylor (March 31, 1938- February 27, 2019) Taylor was a television actor, best known for his recurring role as Rollo Lawson in the 1970s sitcom Sanford and Son, a role he later reprised on its short-lived 1980-1981 spin-off Sanford. He later played the first version of Jim-Jam with Redd Foxx on the 1986 series The Redd Foxx Show. Later, he played Rerun's (Fred Berry) brother-in-law Ike in the sitcom What's Happening!!. Taylor also appeared in the films Trouble Man (1972), Willie Dynamite (1974), and Passing Through (1977). Taylor was married twice, and had seven children. According to his friend, entertainer/promoter Alonzo Williams, Taylor suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized on Saturday, and died at UCLA Medical Center on February 27th, 2019, age 80. He is interred at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.

  Drie huisgenoten, ogenschijnlijk twintigers, proberen elk een geheim voor de buitenwereld verborgen te houden. Aidan (  Sam Witwer  ) is een 261 jaar oude vampier, Josh (  Sam Huntington  ) is een weerwolf en Sally (  Meaghan Rath  ) is een geest. De drie proberen elkaar te helpen bij het navigeren door de complexiteit van hun dubbelleven, terwijl ze tegelijkertijd hun eigen leven proberen te ontcijferen. ______________________________ Review: Ik kijk deze serie om de paar jaar opnieuw en elke keer ben ik weer verrast door hoe goed het verhaal is voor een zender als Syfy. Er zit voor ieder wat wils in: humor, drama, luchtig, duister, gek, sexy, eng, campy. Gecombineerd met het doordachte script en een geweldige cast, is het gewoon een ontzettend leuke tv-serie. Sam Witwer, Sam Huntington en Meaghan Rath – brachten Aiden, Josh en Sally tot leven (om het zo maar te zeggen) en zorgden ervoor dat we vier fantastische seizoenen lang met hen meeleefden. Me...

  Gerald Norman Springer (February 13, 1944 – April 27, 2023) Born in London, England, during World War II to refugees escaping the Holocaust, Springer was raised in Queens, New York City. He attended Northwestern University School of Law, qualified as a lawyer, and first became actively involved in politics working for the campaign of Robert Kennedy in 1968. A Cincinnati City Council member, Springer served as the 56th Mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 to 1978. Om zijn bevolking te redden stuurt Jor-el zijn zoontje in een ruimteschip naar de aarde. Hier doet Clark een lange tijd over en hij is inmiddels dan ook 6 jaar als de aarde in zicht komt. Hij arriveert met duizenden meteorieten, afkomstig van zijn thuisplaneet, die kort na zijn vertrek is geĆ«xplodeerd. Gavin MacLeod, born Allan George See (February 28, 1931 – May 29, 2021) MacLeod's career began in films in 1957. In 1965, he played opposite Peter Mann in The Sword of Ali Baba. He went on to play alongside Anthony Franciosa in A Man Called Gannon (1968), with Christopher George in The Thousand Plane Raid, and opposite Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, and Carroll O'Connor in Kelly's Heroes (1970).   John Saxon, born Carmine Orrico (August 5, 1935-July 25, 2020) He was an actor and martial artist who has worked on more than 200 projects during a span of 60 years. Saxon is known for his work in westerns and horror movies, often playing police officers and detectives.   Verhaal: De serie toont de periode vanaf de bruiloft tot de inhuldiging, inclusief de geboortes van de prinsessen en de toenemende druk van het koningshuis. We krijgen daarbij veel meer te zien van het turbulente leven van haar en de prins. Zo mogen we de beroemde traan tijdens hun huwelijk aanschouwen en leven we mee met de geboorte van de prinsessen Amalia, Alexia en Ariane. Daarnaast zien we wat de aanslag in Apeldoorn, het ski-ongeluk van Prins Friso en het aftreden van Koningin Beatrix met hen doet. Maar er zitten meer opvallende momenten in de serie, zoals Koninginnedag van 2002 in Meppel en Hoogeveen. Dat was MĆ”xima’s allereerste keer bij het Nederlands nationale feest.   Janis Paige, born Donna Mae Tjaden (September 16, 1922 – June 2, 2024) With a career spanning nearly 60 years, she was one of the last surviving stars from Hollywood's Golden Age. Born in Tacoma, Washington, Paige began singing in local amateur shows at the age of five. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles, where she became a singer at the Hollywood Canteen during World War II, as well as posing as a pin-up model. This led to a film contract with Warner Bros., although she later left the studio to pursue live theatre work. She continued to alternate between film and theatre work for much of her career.
