 In order for two to be married together, it’s not enough that they can be tolerant of each other’s faults.

It’s not enough that they leave room for one another.

It’s not even enough that they give to each other.

They need to be able to receive from one another,
and to learn from one another something they each would never have on their own,
to the point that each one will carry a precious piece of the other’s soul wherever he or she goes."
