Sometimes I just stop and look at them

Sometimes I just stop and look at them

and I can’t believe I get to be their mom.

I get to guide a little boy who’s growing into a kind, gentle man.
I get to raise a little girl who’s learning to stand tall in her worth.

They’ve both changed me in ways I never expected.
They’ve softened me and strengthened me all at once.
They’ve taught me to find joy in the smallest moments
and grace in the hardest ones.

One day they’ll be out in the world,
finding their own paths,
and I’ll still be here
rooting for them, loving them,
remembering the days their laughter filled this house.

Motherhood isn’t always easy,
but it’s everything.
And I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it.
