I let my kids see me cry

I let my kids see me cry.

I let them see me tired, overwhelmed, and figuring it out.

Because I don’t ever want them to think strength means pretending everything’s fine.
I want them to know it’s okay to have hard days.
It’s okay to say “I’m struggling.”
It’s okay to feel it all.

So yeah sometimes they see me fall apart.
But they also see me get back up.
They see me keep trying, even when it’s messy.

And I hope one day, when life gets heavy for them,
they remember that it’s okay to bend without breaking.
