Sometimes the hardest thing
Sometimes the hardest thing to accept is that some people will never see what they did wrong.
They’ll rewrite the story. They’ll paint themselves as the victim.
They’ll cry about how “you changed,” but never acknowledge what made you pull away.
And for a while, you might feel guilty. You’ll question if you did the right thing. You’ll replay the memories, the moments that broke you, trying to make sense of how someone who was supposed to love you could hurt you like that.
But healing means choosing peace over guilt.
It means understanding that walking away isn’t cruel it’s survival.
You can forgive, you can let go, but you don’t have to go back.
Because protecting your peace will never make you the villain in your own story.
