The newborn stage

 The newborn stage is everything and nothing like I imagined.

The way their tiny face looks up at you. The feel of their soft skin against yours. The sound of those sweet little noises they make in their sleep. That one of a kind newborn smell that makes you want to hold them forever.
It’s overwhelming in the best way.
And then one day, it’s gone. They grow. The scent fades. The sounds change.
You never realize how much you’ll miss those tiny things until you’re looking back, wishing for just one more night like that.
