Dunbeath Castle.

Dunbeath Castle.
The Dunbeath and Glutt Estates are situated on the North East coast of Scotland in the County of Caithness in an area of outstanding natural beauty ranging from the wild "Flow Country" to the thrilling cliffs above the Moray Firth.
The 13th Century Castle stands on a rocky peninsula like a lone white sentinel overlooking the Moray Firth that lashes the cliffs on three sides. The Castle has been much altered since its original fortified tower was built and thanks mainly to its 19th Century alterations by David Bryce it now has a symmetrical face approached down a long straight drive cut into steep banks through woods and lawns.
It is often commented on that this is one of the most dramatic approaches to any house in the world.
Dunbeath Castle is a private residence and not open to the public - however the gardens are open.
