I used to say, “I have to stay home.”

I used to say, “I have to stay home.”

Like it was a punishment.
Like I was missing out.
Like I had to justify it to the world.

But now?
Now I say, “I get to stay home.”

I get to slow down.
I get to soak in the little moments most people miss.
I get to stay in my cozy clothes and create a safe little world for my babies.
I get to witness the giggles, the naps on my chest, the firsts that come without warning.

It’s not glamorous.
It’s not always easy.
But it’s sacred.

Because one day, this will all be a memory.
And I’ll never not feel thankful I chose to be here for it.
