Boundaries I’m teaching my kids

 Boundaries I’m teaching my kids.

The kind I wish I was taught.

1. Your body is yours.
If something doesn’t feel right, you’re allowed to say no. I will always trust you to know what feels safe.

2. You don’t have to finish your plate.
Your body knows when it’s full.
If you get hungry later, I’ll have something simple ready.

3. No means no. Stop means stop.
Your voice matters. And so does the voice of anyone around you.

4. I know it’s hard to hear no.
I’ve already answered and it’s okay to feel upset.
I’m here if you want a hug or need to talk about it.

5. It’s okay to feel angry.
It’s never okay to hurt someone else because of it.
Even if that someone is you.
Let’s find another way together.

6. We all mess up sometimes.
What matters is that we own it.
We say sorry when we hurt someone, even if we didn’t mean to.
