ANCHORS AWEIGH
"ANCHORS AWEIGH" (1945)
MY THOUGHTS ... This is the second appearance, for a Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra musical, in the "31 Days of Oscar" schedule. Out of the three films that they made together, this would rank #3 for me, although I do enjoy it a great deal! The storyline is very clever, and the song & dance scenes are excellent ... most especially the "fantasy scene," during which, Gene Kelly dances with Jerry the Mouse (of "Tom & Jerry" fame)! It is a lot of fun to watch and listen to. It is totally worth the watch!
