Concord

This house in Concord, Massachusetts was built around 1717, and it is shown here in the 1890s and 2018. During the 1800s, it was the home of two prominent authors: Louisa May Alcott, who lived here as a teenager; and Nathaniel Hawthorne, who purchased the house from the Alcotts in 1852. The house is still standing today, as is the hawthorn tree on the left side of the house, which was planted by Nathaniel Hawthorne over 160 years ago.
