I never imagined this chapter of life would feel like this

 I never imagined this chapter of life would feel like this.

I thought it would be quieter…
slower…
maybe even a little lonely.

But I was wrong.

Because somewhere along the way,
life surprised me again.

It filled this season with a kind of joy
that doesn’t rush or overwhelm—
it settles in gently.

The kind that shows up in small moments.

A soft voice calling your name.
Little footsteps across the room.
A hand reaching for yours without thinking twice.

And suddenly…

the house doesn’t feel empty.

Your heart doesn’t feel as tired.

There’s a lightness you didn’t know you were missing
until it found its way back to you.

I’ve come to understand that happiness
doesn’t always arrive loudly.

Sometimes…

it comes quietly,
in the form of someone small
who changes everything.
