There’s a kind of joy

 There’s a kind of joy that only children can bring back into your life.

The kind you didn’t even realize you had slowly let go of over the years.

I was sitting there on the bench, watching you run back and forth, laughing at something only you understood, your energy filling the air like sunshine. And without even trying… you made me laugh too.

Not just a small smile.

A real laugh.

The kind that comes from deep inside, the kind I hadn’t felt in a long time.

And in that moment, I realized something simple but powerful.

You don’t just bring happiness into my life.

You remind me how to feel it again.

How to stay light. How to let go. How to be present in a way I had forgotten somewhere along the way.
