Sometimes our kids don’t need to feel like our equals
Sometimes our kids don’t need to feel like our equals.
They need to feel our strength. They need to know that we can handle it that they don’t have to.
That when the world feels big and scary, we are the ones steering the ship.
It’s not disrespectful to lead them.
It’s safety. It’s comfort. It’s love.
Our children shouldn’t carry the weight of adult decisions.
They deserve to trust that we’ve got it covered.
To just be little. To feel safe enough to rest.
Be their captain.
Guide them through the storms.
Let them be passengers who can enjoy the ride.
