The Death Kiss
"The Death Kiss" 1932 directed by Edward L. Marin and written by Madelon St. Dennis, Barry Barringer, and Gordon Kahn for Tiffany Studios.
David Manners, Adrienne Ames, Edward Van Sloan, Bela Lugosi, John Wray, Vince Barnett, Harold Minjir, Barbara Bedford, Alexander Carr, Al Hill, Harold Waldridge, Wade Boteler, Lee Moran.
As much as the people at Kino put Bela Lugosi first, his role here is a supporting one with David Manners, John Wray, Adrienne Ames, and Vince Barnett in center stage. It is a neat who-done-it with Manners as a script writer out to solve how someone was killed during a scene being filmed. It may be from a poverty row studio, Tiffany, but it is well written and executed.
