To the mom who feels like she’s barely keeping her head above water
To the mom who feels like she’s barely keeping her head above water,
I see you.You’re not lazy.
You’re exhausted.
You’re not cold.
You’re overwhelmed.
You’re not distant.
You’re just trying to survive a million little tasks while carrying the weight of everyone’s needs.
You feel like you’re thinking ten steps ahead at all times.
You’re anxious, touched out, overstimulated, and probably haven’t had a moment to yourself in days.
You love your family so deeply,
but you’re still allowed to say,
“This is a lot.”
You’re still adjusting to the way your body looks, feels, and moves.
And I want you to know, that doesn’t make you ungrateful.
It makes you human.
You are not alone in these feelings.
You’re not failing.
You’re just in a chapter that demands more from you than you were ever meant to give on your own.
You’re doing better than you think.
You’re still showing up.
And that counts for everything.
Sending love to you, mama.
You deserve it too.
