Some days, my child won’t let me go

Some days, my child won’t let me go.

They follow me from room to room. They cry when I leave the house.
They melt into my arms at night, like their whole body finally exhaled.

And I used to wonder if I was doing something wrong.
If I wasn’t teaching them to be “independent” enough.
But I know better now.

This isn’t a child with a problem.
This is a child who feels safe.
A child who knows love.
A child who sees me as their home.

So if your child clings to you, reaches for you, needs you often…
You’re not failing.
You’re the calm in their chaos.
You’re their steady in the storm.
And that kind of love? That’s everything.
