4000 year old clay tablet
A 4000 year old clay tablet from Sippar, Mesopotamia describes one of the oldest romantic kisses. Etched into the clay in cuneiform script is this breathless account:
“My upper lip becomes moist, while my lower lip trembles! I shall embrace him, I shall kiss him.”
