Trivia of Christine Kaufmann (11 January 1945 - 28 March 2017)
*Growing up in Munich, Bavaria, Kaufmann became a ballerina at the Munich Opera. She began her film career at the age of seven in West German musical film 'The White Horse Inn' (1952) and appeared as a lead actress in Der Schweigende Engel at the same year.
*She achieved international recognition when she starred with Steve Reeves in The Last Days of Pompeii (1959). She was only 14 years old at that time to play as leading actress.
*Began dating Tony Curtis, who was 20 years her senior after met on the set of Taras Bulba (1962).At age 18 in 1963, Kaufmann married Tony Curtis. They had two daughters, Alexandra Theodora Dido Curtis and Allegra Curtis.
*Kaufmann and Curtis filmed together in Wild & Wonderful (1964).This film was their personal favorite.Kaufmann described it as an "adventurously bad film" and "unspeakable poodle comedy" in her autobiography.After this film, Curtis bought Kaufmann out of the contract as he didn't want her to continue her acting career.
*After posing nude for "Playboy" magazine at the age of 54 in 1999, she was called "Germany's most beautiful grandmother".
*In 1980's Kaufmann resumed her career, which she had interrupted during her marriage with Curtis, notably with supporting roles in several films.Her last role was Aunt Polly in the American film Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn (2014)
