Louise E. Stange-Wahl
Louise E. Stange-Wahl (born June 23, 1950) stood beside Leonard Nimoy in Star Trek: The Motion Picture as a devoted fan who got the unique opportunity to appear onscreen. At the time, she was president of the Leonard Nimoy fan club, and Nimoy himself requested her participation in the film. She appeared uncredited as a science crewmember on the recreation deck and was one of four extras given distinctive white costumes due to her height. Over six weeks of production, Stange-Wahl contributed in multiple ways, from operating the stage phone to helping with the casting of other fan extras, blending her passion for Star Trek with hands-on involvement in the film.
