I spent too many years questioning my worth

I spent too many years questioning my worth.

Too many nights wondering if I was enough.
Too many moments shrinking myself so others could feel bigger.

That’s why I hype my kids up every single day.
Why I remind them that their feelings matter.
That their voice deserves to be heard.
That they are already enough, just as they are.

I don’t want them growing up thinking they have to earn love.
Or prove their value.
Or hide their softness just to fit in.

Because I know what it feels like to believe you’re unworthy.
And I’ll be damned if that cycle continues with them.

So if you see me teaching my kids to take up space,
to be loud about their needs,
to walk with their heads high
just know, it’s because I’m healing the parts of me that never got that.

They won’t have to unlearn their worth like I did.
Not on my watch.
