.
Princess Alexandra of Denmark married Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (the future King Edward VII) in 1863.
Princess Alexandra's Wedding Dress was made from cream silk, with Honiton lace and net trim and orange blossom sprigs.
Her dress was lined with brown silk and stiff muslin.
The skirt was flat at the front, with six panels, gathered into train at the back, with a wide needle-lace trim.
After their wedding the dress was altered by London dressmaker Mme Elise, so Alexandra could wear it again.
Fun fact....
Princess Alexandra was the first member of the Royal Family to be photographed in her wedding dress!
