It’s always “she’s so lucky
It’s always “she’s so lucky her husband works so hard so she can stay home with the kids.”
But what about this? He’s lucky, too.
Lucky that she was willing to hit pause on her dreams.
To give up her job, her social life, her independence.
To carry the mental load, to hold space for everyone’s emotions, to be the steady one when the world feels chaotic.
Parenting is not about who sacrifices more.
It’s about mutual support.
It’s about being a team so your kids feel loved and safe.
So let’s start saying…
They’re both lucky.
Because they show up for each other and most importantly, for their children.
