Anne Boleyn and Hurrem Sultan

There are many similarities between Anne Boleyn and Hurrem Sultan.

Not only that, they both lived and married in the same period of time, both women also had a similar trajectory of rising from 0 to power.

From a slave to a member of the harem and concubine, Hurrem created a precedent because Suleiman I legally married her (something unheard of until then) and gave her the title of Haseki Sultan.

Likewise, Anne Boleyn didn't have royal blood either, but she managed to dethrone Henry's first wife and take her official place as Queen of England.

And there was another thing they had in common. Due to their unconventional rise to power, they were both disliked and had enemies. However, they were a force to reckon with.

Hurrem Sultan remained a powerful and influential woman throughout her entire life , but yet again, she wasn't married to Henry VIII.
