Producer Darryl F. Zanuck won for Best Picture for "Gentleman's Agreement" over Samuel Goldwyn's "The Bishop's Wife", Adrian Scott's "Crossfire", Ronald Neame's "Great Expectations", William Perlberg's "Miracle on 34th Street".
Ronald Colman won Best Actor for his great performance in "A Double Life" against John Garfield "Body and Soul", Gregory Peck "Gentleman's Agreement", William Powell "Life with Father", Michael Redgrave "Mourning Becomes Electra".
Loretta Young won Best Actress for "The Farmer's Daughter" against Joan Crawford "Possessed", Susan Hayward "Smash-Up, The Story of a Woman", Dorothy McGuire "Gentleman's Agreement". Rosalind Russell "Mourning Becomes Electra".
Edmund Gwenn won Best Supporting Actor for "Miracle on 34th Street" with Charles Bickford "The Farmer's Daughter", Thomas Gomez "Ride the Pink Horse", Robert Ryan "Crossfire", Richard Widmark "Kiss of Death".
Celeste Holm won Best Supporting Actress for "Gentleman's Agreement" against Ethel Barrymore "The Paradine Case", Gloria Grahame "Crossfire", Marjorie Main "The Egg and I", and Ann Revere "Gentleman's Agreement.
