I still remember the first moment I held you

I still remember the first moment I held you.

The room was quiet, almost like the world itself was holding its breath. You were so small, so new, wrapped gently in that soft blanket, completely unaware of how much you had already changed me.

And as I looked into your tiny face, something inside my heart opened in a way I had never felt before.

Not loud. Not overwhelming.

Just… new.

I had already lived so many years. Loved in so many ways. I thought I understood what love was supposed to feel like.

But you showed me something different.

You showed me that love doesn’t have an age.

That even later in life, when you think your heart has already known everything it needs to know… it can still begin again.

And somehow, that beginning felt even more meaningful than anything before it.

Because it came when I least expected it.

And it came with you.
