White Christmas (1954)
Wallace and Davis’ Impromptu "Sisters"
As the Haynes Sisters (Vera-Ellen and Rosemary Clooney) escape to the safety of a train to Vermont, Wallace and Davis create their own version of “Sisters” to stall the sheriff from picking up the girls in the classic White Christmas (1954). It's very obvious that Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye had a great time winging it with the feather fans. Rosemary Clooney later said about Danny Kaye, "He made Bing laugh. The way everybody wishes they could make Bing laugh. More than Bob Hope ever did." Film director Michael Curtiz was going to call for a second take once the laughter died down, but viewing the first take he realized how genuinely funny it is, and he decided to include it in the movie.
