RAINBOW SUNSET RAYS OVER THE SHORELINE

RAINBOW SUNSET RAYS OVER THE SHORELINE.

The horizon goes gold, and the sky fans out in prism-painted beams—like the last light of day got stretched into color and poured across the water.

What you’re seeing is a mix of crepuscular rays (sunbeams shaped by gaps in clouds/haze) plus strong scattering near sunset. When the air holds fine mist/sea spray, the light can look “split” into bands because different wavelengths scatter differently.
