Ann Bradford Davis


 Ann Bradford Davis (1926–2014), a beloved American actress whose warmth, humor, and professionalism left a lasting mark on television history. Davis first rose to prominence in the 1950s with The Bob Cummings Show (1955–1959), where her sharp comedic timing earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Her success during television’s golden age established her as a respected and reliable performer.

She became a cultural icon through her role as Alice Nelson, the kind-hearted and wise housekeeper on The Brady Bunch (1969–1974). Alice’s humor, loyalty, and moral grounding made her one of the most enduring characters in family television. Davis reprised the role in several Brady-related projects, including The Brady Girls Get Married, A Very Brady Christmas, and the spin-off series The Brady Brides and The Bradys, reaffirming her place in American pop culture.

Ann B. Davis passed away on June 1, 2014, following complications from a fall. She is interred at Saint Helena's Columbarium and Memorial Gardens in Boerne, Texas, remembered for a legacy defined by kindness, talent, and timeless television charm.
