Suzy
Cary Grant, Jean Harlow, Franchot Tone 1936 "Suzy" written by Dorothy Parker, her husband Alan Campbell, and Horace Jackson. This WWI melodrama set in London and Paris was directed by George Fitzmaurice. Harlow and all the other women are dressed in 1936 styles so it's only the basic story that reminds us that it's set in 1917. There are vintage automobiles. Grant wasn't too impressed with the script reportedly, but he wanted to work with Harlow. It wasn't among that year's classics but the featured song, "Did I Remember?" by Walter Donaldson and Harold Adamson was Oscar nominated. The movie also has Lewis Stone, Una O'Connor, Benita Hume, Inez Courtney, and Reginald Mason.
