William Bakewell
William Bakewell, May 2, 1908- April 15, 1993 has 198 Film and TV credits between 1923 and 1975. He was in "West Point" 1927 with William Haines and Joan Crawford, "All Quiet On the Western Front" 1930 with Lew Ayres, "The Bat Whispers" 1930 with Chester Morris & Una Merkel, "Paid"1930 with Joan Crawford, "Reducing" 1931 with Marie Dressler & Polly Moran, "Dancem Fools, Dance" 1931 with Joan Crawford, "Daybreak 1931 with Ramon Novarro, "Politics" 1931Marie Dressler & Polly Moran, "Guilty Hands" 1931 Lionel Barrymore & Kay Francis, "The Spirit of Notre Dame" 19312 Lew Ayres, "The Secret of Madame Blanche" 1933 Irene Dunne, "Three Cornered Moon" 1933 Claudette Colbert, and so on continuing after the Code and he even appeared as a Mounted Officer in "Gone With the Wind" in 1939. His last film role, after numerous parts in televison, was as a Professor in the 1975 Kurt Russell movie, "The Strongest Man in the World". He was married twice and he had two children from his second marriage. Bakewell was born and he died in Los Angeles on April 15, 1993 of Leukemia, at age 84.
