Elliott Nugent
Elliott Nugent was born September 20, 1896 in Dover, OH to writer/actor/producer J.C. Nugent and actress Grace Fertig. Nugent graduated from Ohio State University then traveled to New York and acted in several Broadway plays including the comedy, "Dulcey". He wacted in several early sound films including "So This is College" 1929 with Robert Montgomery, "Not So Dumb" 1930 with Marion Davies, "The Unholy Three 1930 with Lon Chaney, "Romance" 1930 with Greta Garbo, "The Last Flight" 1931 staarring Richard Barthelmess, "Three Cornered Moon" 1933 with Claudette Colbert but by 1934 more of his attention was on writing, directing and producing. He had been married to actress Norma Lee since 1921 and they had three children. Elliott Nugent died in New York, NY on August 9, 1980. He was 83.
