If I could tell my kids one thing

 If I could tell my kids one thing, it would be this:

Life won’t always go the way you want it to.
People won’t always be fair, and sometimes the world will feel heavy and hard to understand.

But how you choose to show up will always matter.

Choose kindness, even when others aren’t kind.
Choose honesty, even when it would be easier not to be.
Choose courage, even when it feels safer to stay quiet.

Because your character will carry you through the moments that feel unfair.
And your heart the way you treat people, the way you keep showing up will always be what truly defines you.

That’s what I want my kids to remember.
That no matter what happens around them, they always have a choice in who they become.
