I will never tell my kids

I will never tell my kids to tolerate disrespect just because of a title.

Not from family. Not from anyone.

Because family isn’t a free pass to treat someone poorly.
My children will learn that love doesn’t mean accepting mistreatment.
It means setting boundaries, even when it’s hard.

They’ll grow up knowing that kindness and respect go both ways.
That blood doesn’t make you safe actions do.

And they’ll never be guilted into keeping people close who make them feel small.
Because my job isn’t to make them loyal to dysfunction.
It’s to teach them peace.
