Charles Bickford


 Charles Bickford, January 1, 1891, Cambridge, MA - November 9, 1967, Los Angeles, CA. He was married to Beatrice Loring from 1916 to his death. He has 114 film and TV Credits beginning in 1929 and running into 1966. Bickford embraced television in the 1950s and appeared in many Westerns which were very popular then. He was in Garbo's first talkie, "Anna Christie" 1930 as Matt, in the Kay Francis film "Passion Flower" 1930, "Panama Flo" 1932 starring Helen Twelvetrees and Robert Armstrong, "Vanity Street" 1932 with Helen Chandler, "No Other Woman" 1933 with Irene Dunne, and "White Woman" 1933 with Carole Lombard and Charles Laughton. He became a strong tough guy character actor throughout his long career.
