It almost seems as the father has cursed Mary Queen of Scots on the day she was born.

On 8 December James V heard the news that his wife had given birth to a child, Mary , who became the queen of Scots. ‘The devil go with it,’ he said. ‘It will end as it began. It came from a lass it will end with a lass’ But Mary, queen of Scots , was not destined to be the last of the line. It only came to an end with the demise of Queen Anne 172 years later. Ten days after making semi-accurate prophecy, he was dead.
