RAIN MAN
"RAIN MAN" (1988)
MY THOUGHTS ... This film ranks amongst my "favorite movies of all time!" It is simply wonderful. Barry Levinson is one of my favorite filmmakers, and movies such as this, are the reason why. The performance by Dustin Hoffman is exquisite, vulnerable and quite poignant. Tom Cruise meets up with, and matches Hoffman, in talent, tone and emotionality. They did an amazing job, journeying through changes each of their character undergoes, with simplicity, sentimentality and serious attention to detail. It is a "must see," for new fans of film and the younger folks, who need to be introduced to it. Once they are, it will become one of their favorites!
