Because protecting my baby’s sleep protects my sanity.
Because an overtired baby doesn’t just “go with the flow.”
Because I am not sacrificing my peace so someone else isn’t mildly inconvenienced.

Nap time isn’t a suggestion in this house.
It’s infrastructure.

You can call it rigid.
I call it knowing what works for my child.

There will be seasons for spontaneity.
Right now, there’s a 1–3pm blackout window and I guard it like a dragon.

And if that makes me “that mom”?

Good.

I can.
