Motherhood could have made you sharp

Motherhood could have made you sharp.

It could have made you cold.
Quick to snap.
Quick to say “because I said so.”
Quick to shut it down the way it was shut down for you.

But you pause.

You breathe through the trigger.
You choose connection over control.
You say, “I’m sorry” when you get it wrong.

That’s not weakness.
That’s rewriting the blueprint.

You are showing your children that strength and gentleness can live in the same body.
That authority doesn’t require fear.
That love doesn’t disappear when emotions show up.

You’re not just raising kids.
You’re raising the standard.

Your softness is rebellion.
