Why do we do this to moms?

 “It’s just round ligament pain.”

“It’s just growing pains.”
“You’re just stretching.”

Okay… but it still HURTS.

Why do we do this to moms?

Why do we minimize pain just because it’s “normal”?

Round ligament pain is normal.
Growing pains are normal.
Your body stretching to hold life is normal.

But normal doesn’t mean painless.
And it definitely doesn’t mean you’re dramatic for saying it out loud.

If I stub my toe and it’s “not serious,” I’m still going to say OUCH.

If my hips feel like they’re splitting in half at 34 weeks, I’m allowed to say this sucks.

If my toddler wakes up crying from “just growing pains,” I’m not telling them it’s nothing. I’m rubbing their legs and holding them close.

We don’t stop deserving comfort just because the pain has a name.

So yes.
It’s round ligament pain.
It’s growing pains.
It’s stretching.

And it still hurts.

And I’m still allowed to complain a little.

And you are too.
