Colleen

"Colleen" 1936 directed by Alfred E. Green, written by Peter Milne, F. Hugh Herbert, and Sig Herzig from a story by Robert Lloyd for Warner Brothers.

Dick Powell, Ruby Keeler, Joan Blondell, Jack Oakie, Hugh Herbert, Louise Fazenda, Paul Draper, Marie Wilson, Luis Alberni, Hobart Cavanaugh, Berton Churchill.
This was the last of the seven films which Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler starred in together. Powell does most of the singing and leaves the dancing to Ruby and Paul Draper and Joan Blondell and Hugh Herbert dance a good number as well. Ruby is given a couple of songs to warble, and her voice is quite flat. Powell was perhaps wise to not feign to dance and he even sings about not knowing how to dance in this film.
