Holiday
"Holiday" 1930 Left to Right: Mabel Forrest, Robert Ames, Hedda Hopper, Ann Harding, Creighton Hale, Edward Everett Horton. Mary Astor played Julia Seton, Monroe Owsley played Ned Seton, William Holden (Not that William Holden!) played Edward Seton, and Hallam Cooley played Seton Cram. Directed by Edward H. Griffith, the film was nominated for Ann Harding for Best Actress and Best Adapted Screenplay. This film, like the original play, focuses more on the two sisters while the 1938 film directed by George Cukor focused more on the Katharine Hepburn - Cary Grant romance. Both versions are fine films.
