Grief tells us to stay quiet

Grief tells us to stay quiet.

To hide the tears. To push the memories down.

But I’ve learned the opposite is true.
When I say your name, you are with me.
When I tell your story, you live again.
When I whisper your name into the silence, the house feels a little less empty.

Love does not end in silence.
Love survives when spoken.
Say their name. Keep them here.
