Today, we remember Freddie Mercury, one of the greatest and most electrifying showmen in music history. As the legendary frontman of Queen, Freddie’s unmatched vocal range, commanding stage presence, and fearless artistic expression reshaped rock music forever. With guitarist Brian May, bassist John Deacon, and drummer Roger Taylor, Queen rose to global fame in the mid-1970s and continued their reign into the 1990s, delivering a catalog of songs now woven into music history.
Among their most celebrated hits are “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Killer Queen,” “Somebody to Love,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “We Will Rock You,” “We Are the Champions,” “Under Pressure,” and “Another One Bites the Dust.” Freddie’s creativity pushed boundaries, blending rock, opera, and pop into a sound uniquely his own.
