Verrès Castle
Verrès Castle (Castello di Verres/Château de Verrès), Italy, a rectangular tower raised on a rocky peak that dominates the commune of the same name. Completed in 1390 in Gothic style, it consists of a cubic construction with sides of 30 meters, with a huge sober and unfurnished interior; On the ground floor there are two large symmetrical halls (on the east and west sides), separated by a kitchen and an inner courtyard (on the sides of which a monumental staircase ascends to the two upper floors). Only the first floor can be visited, here are the Gothic rooms used by the masters of the castle. For unclear reasons, photography is forbidden inside, even if it consists only of a cold stone skeleton.
