LONELYHEARTS
"LONELYHEARTS" (1958)
MY THOUGHTS: This is an excellent film! The talented cast do an exceptional job in their respective roles. Being a big fan of Myrna Loy, I really appreciated her in a role that allowed her to flex more dramatic acting muscles and show a wide range of emotions, at such peaks and valleys. Montgomery Clift was doing some of his best work in this role and there were scenes, during which, he was riveting. His work with Robert Ryan was very good and they worked incredibly well together. The film was Maureen Stapleton's film debut, and she does make you take notice, with a truly memorable performance. The story itself was very interesting. I enjoyed this film a great deal and feel it is well-worth the watch!
