Branicki Palace
Branicki Palace (Polish: Pałac Branickich) in Białystok, northeastern Poland, the "Versailles of Podlachia," was built by Count Jan Klemens Branicki, Grand Hetman and protector of arts and sciences, who transformed an existing building in magnificent residence of a great Polish nobleman, rivaling in beauty the Wilanów Palace in Warsaw. Its construction began in 1726 and is located in the central part of the city of Bialystok, which in the 18th century was not a populated place and was characterized by having a market in the shape of a triangle.
