The Palace of the Kings of Navarre of Olite

The Palace of the Kings of Navarre of Olite, Royal Palace of Olite or Castle of Olite is a courtly and military construction erected during the 13th and 14th centuries in the town of Olite (Navarra, Spain). It was one of the seats of the Court of the Kingdom of Navarre from the reign of Carlos III "El Noble" until the incorporation of this kingdom to the Crown of Castile in 1512.
It was one of the most luxurious medieval castles in Europe. Thus, a fifteenth-century German traveler wrote in his diary, which is now kept in the British Museum in London: "I am sure that there is no king who has a more beautiful palace or castle and so many golden rooms."
